Steam Room Challenge
At Counter Production we have completed a few Steam Rooms in our time. Corian® and Solid Surface is often chosen for this application due to it’s seamless joining ability and therefore incredibly easy to maintain once installed and you are able to shape and design in a way you just couldn’t with standard tiling.
The challenge with this installation was the client’s design of a domed ceiling within the steam room which required careful planning, templating, jig making, thermoforming and installation.

Thankfully at Counter Production we have an incredibly skilled team, many of which have been with us for years and understand the material fully and the right techniques to ensure that the above is done with careful precision to achieve the results needed for a complex project such as this. We have our own Thermoforming Machine whereas many other Fabricators would have to outsource this kind of work. But more importantly we have the skills and knowledge to execute the work.
The installation process is just as important as the manufacturing process, this kind of work is very fiddly, is done in a confined space and often at height. Our Fitting Technicians our fully H&S trained and will always perform risk assessments to protect themselves and those on site, particularly when working at height. Again,this kind of application requires careful installation planning and precision, and therefore requires a Fitting Technician who can ensure that the joins are seamless and the finish is second to none.
