Krion™ Opale Grigio

The new OPALE series by KRION, in particular Krion™ Opale Grigio, comes from the convergence of light and movement. White wavy lines on a white translucent background offering endless compositional possibilities. It is reminiscent of waves lapping gently on the seashore and a sky covered by dense clouds that trace a thousand shapes. It is suitable for use with backlighting, adding considerably to the possible uses. The subtle curves of this colour reflect the gentle silver ripples that form when the breeze stirs water to life. Whitish lines against a grey background that create a stunning effect when backlit, allowing for endless compositions and transmitting a sense of neutrality and serenity.

Coloured surfaces featuring irregular patterns traced throughout the body by gleaming, brilliant and profound veining that is reminiscent of flowing water. The result is unique and balanced textured sheets in shades of white, green, blue and grey that evoke the calm serenity of the ocean.

Krion™ Opale Grigio can also be backlit, whereby the material allows a degree of light to filter through, illuminating the texture and revealing new, previously hidden lines and shapes. The characteristic birefringent veining has become the hallmark of this series, enabling us to admire the intense, contrasting patterns that are in line with the latest decorative trends. The various finishes that can be applied to this material allow for a vitreous lustre or matt effect in a declaration of strength and inspiration that lends an air of luxury and exclusivity to KRION.

What is Krion™ Opale Grigio?

It is a material that is warm to the touch and similar to natural stone. It is made of two-thirds natural minerals (ATH – Alumina Trihydrate) and a low percentage of high-resistance resins. This composition gives Krion™ Opale Grigio a number of exclusive features: it does not have any pores, it is anti-bacterial without any type of additive, it is hard-wearing, highly resistant and easy to repair, only requires minimum maintenance and is easy to clean.

It is cut in a similar way to wood, allowing us to cut the sheets, connect them and thermoform them to create curved sections, and can even be injected during the production process, making it possible to create different designs and projects that are impossible to achieve with other materials.

Seamless sections can be created, preventing liquids from being absorbed and making cleaning and maintenance easier.

One of the most commonly used Krion™ products are the sheets which can be used for numerous applications and sectors, whether for personal use in our homes, or in the professional sector in commercial premises, large public spaces or hospital centres. The solid surface sheets offer a wide range of possibilities for carrying out unique projects without limits.

It is an ecological material, as it is 100% recyclable. All products made of Krion™ Opale Grigio can be reprocessed and reused in the production cycle.
